• •In accordance with the Institutional Regulations and the rules governing the fee for access, with or without a shuttle service, in Venice and the small islands of the Venetian Lagoon, an additional fee is charged to day-trippers who do not stay overnight and plan to visit the historic city centre from Friday to Sunday or on public holidays, from 08:30 AM to 04:00 PM. The fee will be from EUR 5.00 to 10.00 per day, depending on the date of booking. After payment, tourists must have a confirmation. Exempt from this fee are children under 14; residents of Venice and the Veneto region; people working or studying in Venice. Guests staying overnight are also exempt from this fee and must pay the city tax at the accommodation facilities.
• •A cleaning tax is not included in the reservation price and is payable separately at the hotel.
• •Mandatory gala dinner fees may apply at Italy hotels. Guests should contact the hotel directly for more information.

• •A tax is imposed by the city: from 1 January - 31 January, EUR 3.50 per person, per night for adults; EUR 1.70 per night for guests aged 10-16 years old.

• •If guests are staying at a hotel within Venice and they need to pay a tourist tax, they are exempt from the access fee, but must have a QR code indicating the stay.
• •To get a QR code, visit the municipal website https://cda.ve.it , select Request Exemption, then select I am a guest in an accommodation in Venice and click Request Exemption. Enter the arrival and departure dates.
• •On the data entry screen, enter the name of the hotel (after entering the name of the hotel, you should see HOTEL METROPOLE [CASTELLO,4149] - code 305), then add the names of other guests in the Add holder field.
• •Save the purchased vouchers in digital form and, if they have been verified, present them to authorized personnel at the main access points of the city.
