Kings Park
West Perth
A four-hundred-hectare park on a hill above the city centre, much of it preserved original bushland. It includes a botanic garden with thousands of Western Australian plant species, a glass walkway through eucalyptus canopies, and views over the skyline and river.
Tip: Entry is free, as are the guided walks from the visitor centre. The Lotterywest Federation Walkway crosses through the treetops. Wildflowers bloom in September and October, with a festival held then. Head to the State War Memorial for sunset.
