Prague Castle
Hradčany
The largest continuous castle complex in the world has been the seat of Czech rulers, and today the president, since the ninth century. Inside stands St Vitus Cathedral with a stained-glass window by Alfons Mucha, the Romanesque Basilica of St George, and Golden Lane with its tiny houses built into the fortifications.
